4.1 097 In LC Records

Effective Immediately:

If you find an 097 in a record in the LC database that you plan to use to classify the item in hand… PLEASE copy and paste the number in the 097 into a 590 field. After the call # please DOUBLE SPACE and type LC and 097.

Example: 590 : : DC 590 .B5 2002 LC 097

Because Marianne is conducting a study of these materials, this is all you will have to do. Don’t worry about saving an isbn for the item. She’ll be able to retrieve these by doing a 590 search.
